Celebrating Winter 2023 Give Back Events!
In February this team hosted a birthday party for the senior citizens of Serving Seniors. AnaptsyBio transformed the cafeteria with birthday party decorations and provided cupcakes, gifts, and company to low-income and unhoused senior citizens who are often living alone without people to celebrate with. The party brought so much joy, and the seniors received much needed (and fun!) supplies!
In March AnaptsyBio stepped up to make an impact again, this time to Southeast San Diego, to participate in MANA de San Diego's Pi Day! AnaptsyBio held a hands-on science demo for over 150 students and their families! All the kids were able to use a microscope and a pipette, try on a lab coat, and meet the scientists!

Huge thank you to Holly Winter and Laura Featherstone at Locanabio for hosting a series of workshops on job interview tips for the former foster youth of Just in Time for Foster Youth (JIT). The young adults of JIT have all aged out of the foster care system, and are living on their own for the first time. JIT provides critical resources to these young adults including professional development opportunities.
It was an incredible opportunity for these young adults to connect with the highly knowledgeable team at Locanabio, to gain life-changing advice on successful job interviews. Thank you!
The Med Affairs team at IONIS Pharmaceuticals came together to assemble welcome kits for senior citizens moving into Serving Senior's new transitional housing unit. These seniors are on their way from being unhoused to living in permanent affordable housing.
Thanks to the team at IONIS each of these seniors will be greeted with a full kit of supplies as they move off of the streets, including everything from snacks and toiletries to crossword puzzle books. Thank you!
The team at Vividion Therapeutics held a food-drive and fundraiser for Feeding San Diego! Together they collected enough food and raised enough funds to provide well over 3,000 meals to meal insecure individuals in San Diego County.
1 in 4 of our community members in San Diego is food-insecure, and efforts like Vividion Therapeutics help us ensure everyone has enough to eat. Thank you Vividion!
