Life Science Cares San Diego currently works with 13 incredible non-profit organizations. In this newsletter we are highlighting the important work of one of these partners, Links to STEM!
Links to STEM was formed to address the relatively small percentage of African American students in the pipeline for STEM education and subsequent STEM careers, by exposing students to STEM at a young age, teaching and inspiring them. Links to STEM works with students from the 4th to the 8th grade.
Life Science Cares provided funding to Links to STEM to enable them to hire a science teacher to work with their students.
Recently, the Links to STEM robotics team attended the 49th Annual National Society of Black Engineers Convention and won 1st place in the overall robotics competition!
